I write essays that praise the mutilated world and teach writing at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. I am the author of Leaves of Healing: A Year in the Garden, a collection of essays that consider the garden year and the church year, published by Belle Point Press. The book is based upon essays I first wrote for my newsletter, which contains seasonal reports from my permaculture garden. A Nebraska native, I live in Branson, Missouri, with my wife and our four children.
